Brett Ferguson is in his first year as video coordinator for the Spartan program, having spent the 2012-13 season as Winthrop's men's basketball graduate assistant/video coordinator. A native of Wheaton, Ill., Ferguson will assist the coaching staff in breaking down game and practice film to create individual player edits for the MSU team. Ferguson is a 2011 graduate of Michigan State University where he earned a degree in interdisciplinary studies of social sciences. During his time at Michigan State, Ferguson was a four-year letterwinner (2007-11) as a student manager for the men's basketball team where he was part of back-to-back regular season Big Ten Championships and Final Four appearances in 2009 and 2010. Following graduation, Ferguson moved on to the Big Ten Conference office, where he served as an intern for the video department as he worked with football and basketball officials.
