•With its 63-57 win over Illinois, Michigan State improved its home record to 13-0 in 2006-07. Michigan State is now 31-18 against Illinois at the Breslin Center.

•Michigan State out-rebounded Illinois 29 to 27. MSU has out-rebounded 15 of its first 19 opponents.

•Drew Neitzel was a perfect 10-of-10 from the free throw line, matching his career high set earlier this season against Chicago State (Dec.16). He is now averaging 90 percent from the line.

•Raymar Morgan scored 10 of MSU's 21 bench points, posting double figures for the ninth time in 12 appearances.

•Michigan State matched a season low with only one blocked shot, as Drew Neitzel was the only player to record a block against Illinois.

•Down 11 points at the half, Michigan State outscored Illinois 40-23 in the second period to get the come-from-behind win.

•The Michigan State defense also came alive in the second half, holding Illinois to 30 percent shooting from the field, allowing the Illini to make just 6-of-20 field goals.

•Michigan State was held to only one three-point basket for the second time this season. The first time MSU was held to one three-pointer was against Indiana (Jan. 7).
