• With 24 points and 10 rebounds, Durrell Summers picked up his third career double-double. His 24 points were a season high.

• Michigan State shot 75.0% (15-for-20) from the field in the second half on its way to shooting 51.9% for the game - its best mark since shooting 55.1% in a 71-53 win over Iowa on Jan. 9.

• MSU out-rebounded Northwestern, 37-27, and is now 17-1 when out-rebounding its opponents.

• Draymond Green led MSU with 11 rebounds as it was his ninth career double-figure rebound game.

• The Spartans outscored the Wildcats, 32-20, in the paint.

• Michigan State improved to 3-0 with the starting lineup of Kalin Lucas, Chris Allen, Durrell Summers, Raymar Morgan and Delvon Roe.
