East Lansing, Mich. - Post Game Quotes vs. Wisconsin
Wisconsin Head Coach Bo Ryan On Paul Davis' play... "He had a pretty good game and I think that we made him work for a lot of things; we tried to go at him just like everybody else does. Then again, some of the big shots made by Ager and Brown hurt too."
On slowing down Kammron Taylor "I don't know about slowing (Kammron) Taylor down because when a guy is in a game, I don't criticize players, so his performance is on the stat sheet and now we just have to get better."
On looking at the future... "You would have to ask somebody who can look that far ahead, I'm not capable of that, because I'm thinking about the next game that we have against Iowa and we were just talking about that in the locker room. We were talking about the things that we have to do to get better. I'm just not that person to think that far ahead."
Michigan State Head Coach Tom Izzo Opening statement... "I thought Wisconsin played very well in the first half, and we just sort of hung in the game. I thought it hurt them when (Alando) Tucker went out, and I thought we did some good things too. It seemed like we were down by a lot at halftime, and we had to work to get back on top."
On MSU's players... "I think Shannon Brown deserves a lot of credit - he had three midterms today and he was really hurting in the second half. I thought he did a great job on Taylor, and that was the difference in the game.
"When we bring Travis Walton into the game, he brings energy out on the floor, and that's big for us. I think Paul Davis had two really tough fouls called against him early, and he did a great job coming in and playing with four fouls for us late in the game."
