- Michigan State won its fourth Big Ten Tournament Championship in school history (1999, 2000, 2012 and 2014).
- In the 2014 Big Ten Tournament, the Spartans recorded their first three-game winning streak since Jan. 15-21, 2014.
- MSU’s 16-point margin of victory is its second-largest in a Big Ten Tournament Championship game. (MSU 67, Illinois 50 on March 7, 1999).
- Michigan State held the Wolverines to their second-lowest field-goal percentage of the season, shooting 17-for-54 for 31.5 percent.
- MSU outscored Michigan in fast-break points, 16-3.
- The Spartans scored 18 points off of nine Michigan turnovers, while the Wolverines scored just two points off of 10 MSU turnovers.
- The Spartans held Michigan’s Nik Stauskas to just one field goal in the second half.
- Big Ten Tournament  Most Outstanding Player Branden Dawson tallied 15 points and six rebounds. In Big Ten Tournament play, Dawson averaged 15 points and 7.3 rebounds.
- The Spartans held Michigan’s Nik Stauskas to just one field goal in the second half.
- Adreian Payne and Gary Harris were named to the 2014 Big Ten All-Tournament Team.
- Payne led the Spartans with 18 points and nine rebounds. He averaged 13.7 points and 6.3 rebounds in Big Ten Tournament play.
- Gary Harris scored 15 points, adding a team-high three steals, two rebounds and two assists. Through Big Ten Tournament play, he averaged 13.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.0 steals.
