· No. 13 Michigan State moved to 93-24 all-time in openers, winning 36 of the last 39.

· MSU has won 31 straight openers at home, including 16 under Tom Izzo who is 18-3 in season openers.

· MSU moves to 5-0 on Nov. 13, including 4-0 at home.

· With 13 points, senior guard Denzel Valentine moves into 44th all-time among Spartan scorers with 1,063 career points, passing Marcus Sanders (1,054), Earvin Johnson (1,059) and Johnny Green (1,062).

· Freshman forward Deyonta Davis is just the third Spartan freshman in MSU history to record a double-double in his debut.

· Deyonta Davis’ 11 rebounds rank second in MSU all-time freshman debut history, passing Matt Steigenga and Ben Tower who each posted 10.

· MSU out-rebounded FAU, 53-26, posting 18 offensive rebounds which led to 15 second-chance points.

· Six players made their Spartan debut: freshman guard Kyle Ahrens (two rebounds), redshirt junior guard Eron Harris (four points, two rebounds), freshman guard Matt McQuaid (two points, two assists), freshman forward Deyonta Davis (11 points, 13 rebounds, five blocks), sophomore forward Kenny Goins (one rebound, one block, one assist) and redshirt junior forward Matt Van Dyk.

· Tonight’s matchup marked the first meeting between No. 13 Michigan State and Florida Atlantic.
