Junior Durrell Summers recorded his first career double-double with a game-high 21 points and a career-high 11 rebounds. His previous rebounding game-high was eight (vs. USC, 3/22/09). For the second consecutive game, sophomore Draymond Green grabbed 10 rebounds, giving him a career total of four double-figure rebounding games. Despite being out-rebounded, 23-21 at the half, the Spartans grabbed 23 second-half boards and ended the game with a 44-38 advantage on the glass. Last season, MSU out-rebounded it opponents in 33 of 38 games, posting 27-6 record in those 33 games. The Spartans have out-rebounded both Florida Gulf Coast and now Gonzaga to start this season. With 19 points, junior Kalin Lucas picked up his 52nd career double-figure scoring game. Lucas has now scored in double figures in the last 13 games, dating back to last season. The Spartans eclipsed a 13-point Gonzaga lead, making it the largest lead they have overcome since also coming back from down 13 points against Kansas in last year's NCAA regional semifinal (3/27/09). Michigan State won its 41st consecutive non-conference game at the Breslin Center and Tom Izzo improved to 36-0 at home in November.
