MICHIGAN STATE MEN'S BASKETBALL
Michigan State vs. Toledo
With 10 points and 11 rebounds, MSU sophomore Delvon Roe picked up his second career double-double. His 11 rebounds tied a career high set last season against Wichita State (11/30/08). Roe was one of five Spartan starters to finish with double figures in points, joining: Draymond Green (15), Chris Allen (14), Kalin Lucas (12) and Durrell Summers (10). Green was one point shy of matching his career high. MSU's starters combined to account for 61 of the team's 75 points. Spartan sophomore guard Kalin Lucas ended the game with six assists and zero turnovers. It marked the first time since a victory over Alcorn State (12/13/08) last season that Lucas finished the game with no turnovers (eight assists). It was seventh career game without a turnover. Lucas and fellow point guard Korie Lucious combined for 10 assists and zero turnovers. As a team, MSU had 22 assists to just six turnovers. The Spartans +16 assist-to-turnover margin was their largest since last year's 118-60 win over Alcorn State (12/13/08) when they had 35 assists to just 10 turnovers. The Spartans outscored the Rockets, 24-2, in fast-break points. MSU doubled up Toledo in the paint as 44 of the Spartans' 75 points came in the paint. The Spartans improved their non-conference home unbeaten streak to 42 games.
