MSU Basketball Postgame Notes

-- Michigan State has now won 31 consecutive non-conference games at home. The Spartans are 5-0 at the Breslin Center this season.
-- MSU, which ranks first in the Big Ten with a .759 team free throw percentage, made 17-of-22 (.773) at the foul line Saturday night.
-- Michigan State has outrebounded six of its first seven opponents, and the Spartans are 6-0 when grabbing more rebounds than their opponents.
-- The Spartans handed out a season-high 23 assists on 29 field goals, a 79.3 percentage, Their assist total was two more than their previous game high of 21 set against Chicago State and North Carolina State.
-- MSU shot a season-best 56.9 percent (29-for-51) from the field. The Spartans shot 57.1 percent (16-for-28) in the first half, and have shot at least 50 percent in the opening half of each of their six games this season.
-- The Spartans held Jacksonville to 37.5 percent shooting from the field. MSU has kept five of its seven opponents under 40 percent field-goal shooting this season.
-- Sophomore forward Raymar Morgan scored 24 points, his third 20-point game of the season and of his career. It was also his 28th career double-digit scoring performance. Michigan State is 20-8 when Morgan scores 10 points or more. Morgan got his points on 8-for-11 shooting from the floor and he made all four of his free throws.
-- Senior guard Drew Neitzel handed out seven assists and had just one turnover. He now 35 assists and seven turnovers on the season, good for a 5:1 assist-to-turnover ratio. Neitzel also scored 10 points for his 56th career double-digit scoring game. MSU has won 40 games where Neitzel has scored at least 10 points.
-- Junior forward Marquise Gray scored a season-high 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting. Michigan State is 11-1 when Gray scores in double figures.
