• Sophomore guard/forward Miles Bridges scored 17 points, had 11 rebounds and tied his career high with six assists, his second double-double this season and the ninth of his career.
* It was his eighth game in double figures in scoring this season and the 32nd of his career and it was the second game this season with at least 10 rebounds and the 10th of his career.
* Freshman forward Jaren Jackson Jr. scored 17 points and tied his career high with 13 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the season.
* Jackson Jr. set a new career high with 11 free throws, connecting on 11-of-12 attempts.
* Jackson Jr. swatted five of MSU’s 12 blocks on the night, his sixth game with at least three rejections.
* This was the second time this season that Michigan State has had two players register double-doubles in the same game (North Florida, Bridges & Jackson).
* Sophomore forward Nick Ward scored 17 points, his sixth game in double figures this season and the 31st of his career ... Ward’s 17 points included the first 3-point field goal of his career.
* Sophomore guard Cassius Winston scored 15 points, tying his career high with five 3-point field goals … It was his seventh game in double figures this season and the 13th of his career.
MSU handed out 24 assists (on 28 field goals) … It was the fifth time this season the team handed out at least 20 assists.
* Michigan State blocked 12 shots in the game, marking the Spartans’ fifth game with at least 10 rejections … The 12 blocks was one shy of the school record that they set in their previous game on Dec. 5 at Rutgers … MSU has 25 blocks in last two games.
* Michigan State held Southern Utah to 32.3 percent shooting, the eighth time this season opponents shot below 40 percent from the floor.
* MSU hit 23 free throws, the fourth time this season the Spartans made at least 20 from the charity stripe.
* The Spartans are now 6-2 all-time against teams from the Big Sky Conference.
