Oakland vs. Michigan State Sophomore forward Draymond Green set a new career high with 19 points while his 12 rebounds tied a career high. He tied his previous career high 16 points in the first half by going 8-for-8 from the field. Green's double-double was the fourth of his career. With 19 points tonight, junior guard Kalin Lucas has now scored in double figures in the Spartans' last 21 games and now has 59 career double-figure scoring games. Michigan State shot 63.3% from the field in the first half - its highest first-half total in any game this season. Meanwhile, the Green and White held Oakland to just 26.7% shooting in the first half, which is the lowest for any MSU opponent in any half this season. The Spartans' 23-point halftime lead was their largest halftime lead of the season. Michigan State outscored Oakland, 46-18, in the paint. With 20 total assists, MSU eclipsed its average of 19.4, which ranked third in the nation in the most recent NCAA statistics. The Spartans out-rebounded the Grizzlies, 41-30, and have out-rebounded their opponents in nine of 10 games and tied North Carolina on the glass. The Spartans have now won 45 consecutive non-conference games at home, dating back to Dec. 3, 2003. MSU is now 9-0 all-time against Oakland.
