EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State fans can use the internet to vote for the Spartans in two separate contests. Support Coach Izzo as he attempts to raise money for charity, and to help raise money for the school's general scholarship fund. Spartans can vote DAILY at ESPN.com/Infiniti and NCAA.com/6thfan.
Tom Izzo is one of 48 college basketball coaches taking part in the Infinity Coaches' Charity Challenge, attempting to raise money for his selected charity: Volunteers of America-Michigan. Fans can vote daily at ESPN.com/Infiniti. Round 1 has begun and runs through Jan. 26. At that point, the field will be narrowed to 24 for Round 2 (Jan. 27 through Feb. 16). Sixteen coaches will advance to Round 3 (Feb. 17-March 2). Final Four voting runs from March 3 through March 16, with the winner receiving $100,000 for his charity. All coaches will receive at least $1,000 for their charity with increasing amounts based on how far they advance in the voting.
NCAA.com is running a "6th Fan" Sweepstakes at NCAA.com/6thfan. The school with the most votes will receive $100,000 towards the general scholarship fund, with each school that advances to the Sweet Sixteen receiving $10,000. Fans who vote in the NCAA's sweepstakes are also eligible to receive individual prizes. Each round, a randomly selected entry will be drawn to win an iPad Air. All entries will be submitted into a grand prize drawing at the end of the competition and one winner will receive an all expense paid trip to the 2015 Men's Final Four. Round 1 runs through Feb. 16. Sixteen schools will compete in Round Two (Feb. 17-Feb. 23). Round Three will have eight schools (Feb. 24-March 2). Four schools will compete in Round Four (March 3-9), and the Championship Round will run from March 9-16.
