Spartans Enter Big Ten Tournament as No. 1 Seed

Michigan State’s men’s basketball team will enter the Big Ten Tournament as the No. 1 seed following a 68-63 win at Wisconsin on Sunday to clinch the outright regular season title.
The Spartans will play on Friday, March 2 at noon against the winner of No. 8 Maryland and No. 9 Wisconsin. The game will air live on the Big Ten Network. This is the first time the Big Ten Tournament will be played at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Michigan State swept the season series against both Maryland and Wisconsin. The Terrapins and the Badgers play on Thursday, March 1 at noon.
If MSU wins its quarterfinal game on Friday, it would play in the semifinals on Saturday, March 3 at 2 p.m.
The Spartans are seeking their sixth Big Ten Tournament title (1999, 2000, 2012, 2014, 2016).
