EAST LANSING, Mich. - ESPN college basketball analyst Dick Vitale named Michigan State men's basketball head coach Tom Izzo the Big Ten Coach of the Year on his ESPN.com web site (http://espn.go.com/dickvitale/index2.html) on Tuesday, March 6. Junior guard Drew Neitzel was named to Vitale's Big Ten Super Seven.

Vitale writes on his web site, "I went with Michigan State's Tom Izzo as Big Ten Coach of the Year because of the talent he lost. The Spartans are a 20-game winner despite losing Maurice Ager, Paul Davis and Shannon Brown."

Neitzel is joined on the all-conference squad by Wisconsin's Alando Tucker, Purdue's Carl Landry, Indiana's D.J. White, Iowa's Adam Haluska and Ohio State's Greg Oden and Mike Conley Jr.
