Remembering Jud Heathcote

Sadly, Jud Heathcote passed away Monday, August 28, in Spokane, Washington at the age of 90. As Coach Tom Izzo said "Michigan State has lost one of its icons."

And yet as Spartan Nation, the college basketball world, and virtually anyone that had ever met Coach Heathcote, struggled to cope with their grief, the amazing tributes began to emerge. Each one capturing a different aspect of what made Coach Heathcote so special. Whether it was a former player, a coach he mentored, or a media member who covered the team, everyone certainly had a story to share about Jud.
