Seniors Head Into Home Finale With Passion & Purpose

Thirteen seniors will make their final appearance in Spartan Stadium on Saturday against Northwestern.

Third-year walk-on adds depth at nose tackle.

2011 SEASON (JUNIOR): Saw action in two games (vs. Florida Atlantic and Indiana) . . . made his first career tackle in the win over Hoosiers . . . named Scout Team Co-Defensive Player of the Week twice (vs. Ohio State and Northwestern).

2010 SEASON (SOPHOMORE): Did not see game action in 2010 . . . first enrolled at Michigan State in the fall of 2009 but did not join the football team until winter workouts in January 2010.

HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL DATA: Three-year starter at defensive tackle and offensive guard for Coach Joe Lato at Weston (Conn.) High School . . . registered 39 tackles (26 solos, 13 assists) as a senior in 2007, including one sack . . . recorded a career-best nine tackles vs. Brookfield . . . made seven solo stops vs. New Fairfield . . . credited with 18 tackles (14 solos, 4 assists) as a junior . . . earned three varsity letters in lacrosse and two more in hockey . . . named to the conference's all-academic team in all three sports . . . son of Joseph and Alexis Curtis . . . born May 16, 1990 . . . majoring in hospitality business.
