CAREER NOTES: Fourth-year player has seen action in 21 career games . . . has 11 career tackles (seven solo, four assists), including 3.5 for losses (10 yards) . . . sees playing time at defensive end, primarily as a designated pass rusher. 2011 SEASON (JUNIOR): Collected five tackles (two solo, three assists), including 1.5 for losses (7 yards) . . . registered a 3-yard tackle for loss against Indiana . . . recorded two tackles against Florida Atlantic, including a half sack (4 yards). 2010 SEASON (SOPHOMORE): Second-year player played in 11 games to earn his first letter. . . saw time on third-and-long situations . . . made six tackles . . . had a tackle for loss (1 yard) in the 2011 Capital One Bowl against Alabama . . . posted one tackle each against Northwestern, Iowa and Minnesota . . . tallied two stops, including one for a 2-yard loss, in his collegiate debut against Western Michigan. 2009 SEASON: Sat out the entire 2009 regular season for academic reasons . . . joined the active roster prior to the 2010 Valero Alamo Bowl and participated in bowl practices in San Antonio, Texas . . . enrolled at Michigan State on Jan. 12, 2009, for the beginning of the spring semester.
