Dantonio Previews Spring Practice

Spartans officially begin spring practice on Tuesday.

2012 SEASON (SOPHOMORE): Second-year walk-on did not see game action . . . named Scout Team Special Teams Player of the Week vs. Boise State . . . had 10 receptions for 65 yards in three spring scrimmages . . . led all receivers with four catches for 30 yards in the first spring scrimmage on April 14 . . . also led the team with four receptions for 37 yards in the second spring scrimmage on April 19.

2011 SEASON: Redshirted.

2010 SEASON (KALAMAZOO COLLEGE): Had 21 receptions for 244 yards (11.6 avg.) and three touchdowns in eight games in 2010 . . . returned 10 kickoffs for 200 yards (20.0 avg.), including a season-long 35-yarder vs. Hope . . . also returned five punts for 41 yards (8.2 avg.) . . . his 485 all-purpose yards ranked fourth on the team . . . had four catches each vs. Albion (28 yards) and Hope (56) . . . set season highs for receptions (7) and receiving yards (61) vs. Manchester . . . .caught three passes for 33 yards and a score vs. Bluffton . . . earned Rookie of the Year honors after starting all 38 games in the outfield for the Hornets baseball team . . . batted .287 with 17 RBI in 2011 . . . his 24 runs scored ranked second on the ballclub . . . produced four hits and four RBI in his collegiate debut vs. D'Youville.
