Takes over the starting job at center in 1999 following the loss of two-year starter Jason Strayhorn . . . returns to his natural position after starting every game at offensive guard a year ago . . . AS A JUNIOR: Started all 12 games in 1998 (two at left guard and 10 at right guard) and played a total of 346.5 minutes . . . moved from left to right guard after Shaun Mason suffered a season-ending knee injury in the second game of the season . . . graded out 84 percent in his pass-blocking assignments vs. Purdue . . . named Spartan Offensive Player of the Week vs. Oregon after grading 82 percent overall while playing three different positions (left guard, right guard and center) . . . also produced his top pass-blocking grade of the season vs. Oregon at 85 percent . . . played a career-high 35.5 minutes vs. Northwestern . . .
