CAREER NOTES: Graduate transfer from Nebraska earned a letter for the Spartans in 2016 . . . played in 35 collegiate games (23 with Nebraska; 12 with MSU) . . . received a sixth year of eligibility from the NCAA in November 2015 due to knee injuries, which prevented him from playing in 2011 and 2013 . . . played in 23 games for the Huskers, including four starts, during the 2012 (five games), 2014 (10 games) and 2015 (eight games) seasons . . . recorded 27 tackles at Nebraska, including 10 for losses (37 yards) and three sacks (28 yards) . . . had 52 tackles in 34 career games, including 12 starts.

2015 SEASON (JUNIOR): Battled through a series of injuries to play in eight games, including starts against Miami and Southern Miss . . . his play helped Nebraska rank in the top 10 nationally in rushing defense (ninth at 109.8 ypg.) . . . had four tackles, including a 2-yard tackle for loss, against BYU . . . recovered a fumble against Southern Miss.

2014 SEASON (SOPHOMORE): Played in 10 games, including starting assignments vs. Rutgers and Purdue . . . had 19 tackles, including five solo stops . . . racked up eight tackles for loss and three sacks while adding two quarterback hurries . . . shared a sack in the Holiday Bowl against USC . . . closed the regular season with a career-high six tackles and a tackle for loss at Iowa . . . recorded a career-high 2.5 sacks and three tackles for loss at Northwestern.

2013 SEASON: Missed the entire season after suffering a knee injury in preseason camp.

2012 SEASON (RED-SHIRT FRESHMAN): Played in five games as a reserve at defensive tackle . . . made four tackles, including two tackles and a tackle for loss against Idaho State.

2011 SEASON: Sat out the season with a knee injury.
