Four Spartans Named to BTN All-Freshman Team

Right tackle Luke Campbell, placekicker Matt Coghlin, cornerback Josiah Scott and wide receiver Cody White earn All-Freshman honors.

CAREER NOTES: Second-year player is slated as the starter at right tackle after an impressive spring . . . can also play left tackle.

2017 SEASON (REDSHIRT-FRESHMAN): Has started in all 11 games at right tackle . . . tied for third on the offensive line with 32.5 knockdowns . . . is the fourth-rated freshman tackle in the country, according to Pro Football Focus, and fifth overall tackle in the Big Ten . . . has been named to the Pro Football Focus Big Ten Team of the Week twice (vs. Indiana and Northwestern) . . . played 57 snaps against Maryland and tallied one knockdown . . . started game at No. 11 Ohio State at right tackle and notched 3.5 knockdowns in playing 69 plays . . . was starting right tackle vs. No. 7 Penn State, logging one knockdown in playing 68 snaps . . . played in all 88 offensive snaps at Northwestern and logged five knockdowns, including one dominator; named to PFF Big Ten Team of the Week . . . played in 74 offensive plays while starting Indiana game at right tackle, earning Spartan Offensive Lineman of the Week honors after leading offensive line with top grade, while logging four knockdowns, including two dominators which tied for the team lead . . . also named to PFF Big Ten Team of the Week vs. Indiana . . . started at right tackle at Minnesota and posted five knockdowns in playing 61 offensive snaps . . . was starting right tackle at No. 7 Michigan and posted a season-high 6.5 knockdowns in playing 61 snaps; named Spartan Offensive Lineman of the Week against the Wolverines . . . started at right tackle in Iowa game and tallied four knockdowns, including one dominator in playing 67 snaps . . . was starting right tackle against Notre Dame and also saw brief action at left tackle . . . tallied 3.5 dominators in Western Michigan game . . . posted three knockdowns, including first dominator of Spartan career in playing 61 snaps against BGSU.
