In the second meeting between the two schools, Michigan State defeated Bowling Green, 28-17, before a crowd of 67,276 Saturday afternoon at Spartan Stadium...MSU now leads the all-time series, 2-0...MSU improves its record to 36-6-2 against current members of the Mid-American Conference...the Spartans have won 14 straight and 21 out of the last 23 meetings vs. MAC teams.

OFFENSE:
Jehuu Caulcrick scored the 23rd rushing touchdown of his career with a 5-yard TD in the third quarter, giving MSU a 21-14 lead...Caulcrick is now tied for ninth all-time at MSU in rushing TDs with Duane Goldbourne (1992-94, 1996) and LeRoy Bolden (1951-54).

Devin Thomas recorded his second-consecutive 100-yard receiving game with 156 yards on four catches...the 156 receiving yards are the most by a Spartan receiver since Charles Rogers had 161 yards against Purdue on Nov. 16, 2002...Thomas scored his second touchdown of the season with an 17-yard reception in the fourth quarter, giving MSU a 28-17 lead...he caught a 76-yard pass in the second quarter from Hoyer, marking the longest reception of his career, to set up MSU's first touchdown of the day in the first quarter...he also caught a 42-yard pass to set up MSU's third touchdown of the game in the third quarter...Thomas accounted for 261 all-purpose yards: in addition to his 156 receiving yards, he returned three kicks for 100 yards, including a 39-yard runback, and had 5 rushing yards on one carry.

Brian Hoyer recorded his fourth-straight 200-yard passing game, completing 17-of-29 passes for 250 yards and two touchdowns...he completed a 76-yard pass to Thomas in the first quarter, marking the longest completion of his career...he threw a 7-yard TD to Kellen Davis in the second quarter and a 17-yard TD to Thomas in the fourth quarter.

Javon Ringer scored his seventh career rushing TD with a 5-yard run in the first quarter...he finished with a game-high 83 yards on 22 carries.

Kellen Davis caught a 7-yard TD pass in the second quarter from Hoyer...it marked Davis' first TD catch of the season and the fourth of his career...playing defensive end, Davis also recorded a sack for the second straight game.

DEFENSE:
Jonal Saint-Dic had a career-high three sacks and two forced fumbles...he also recorded a quarterback hurry...the three sacks are the most by a Spartan player since Greg Taplin had three against Penn State in 2003...Saint-Dic's three sacks ties for sixth best in an MSU single game with seven other players.

Otis Wiley collected his second career interception and the first since 2005...it came in the second quarter and set up MSU's second touchdown of the day that tied the game at 14.

Roderick Jenrette recorded his first career interception with a pick in the fourth quarter...it led to MSU's fourth touchdown of the day, giving MSU a 28-17 lead.

MSU's defense has caused four turnovers this season, resulting in 17 points (two TDs vs. Bowling Green off two interceptions, one field goal off interception vs. UAB).

MSU's defense recorded seven sacks, the most since 1999 (eight vs. Northwestern)...MSU, which had 16 sacks all of last season, has 12 sacks already in 2007...the Spartans also recorded 11 tackles for losses and eight pass break-ups in the game.

Ogemdi Nwagbuo recorded his first career sack, a 7-yard loss in the first quarter.

Kendell Davis-Clark, after tying his career high with seven tackles in the season opener vs. UAB, had a career-best 12 tackles against Bowling Green.

SPECIAL TEAMS:
Aaron Bates punted six times for an average of 41.7 yards, including a 49-yarder...he had three punts downed inside the 20.
