-Michigan State's four-game winning streak against Central Michigan was snapped this afternoon with a 29-27 loss . . . the Chippewas won the first two games of the series, 20-3 in 1991 and 24-20 in 1992 . . . MSU leads the all-time series, 4-3 . . . the loss also snaps MSU's 15-game winning streak against teams from the Mid-American Conference.

-MSU is now 12-4 at home under head coach Mark Dantonio . . . it marked MSU's first non-conference home loss under Coach Dantonio.

-Today's attendance of 76,221 marked a sellout. Greg Jones tied his career high with 15 tackles . . . he is averaging 14.5 tackles a game this season . . . Jones has recorded double-figure tackles in nine straight games.

-Blair White recorded his second consecutive 100-yard receiving game with 105 yards on seven catches . . . White now has 267 yards receiving this season (133.5 ypg). Trenton Robinson, Brandon Denson and Marcus Hyde each recorded career highs in tackles with nine.

-Brett Swenson kicked two field goals, from 39 yards and 32 yards out, to give him 56 for his career, which is third all-time at Michigan State . . . Swenson also hit all three of his PAT attempts; he has now hit 74 PAT attempts in a row.

-Aaron Bates kicked four of his five punts inside the 20-yard line . . . he averaged 45.6 yards per punt . . . he kicked a 57-yarder in the first half, his third 57-yard punt of the season . . . he is now averaging 48.9 yards per punt this season.

-Caulton Ray scored his first career rushing TD with a 1-yard score in the first quarter.

-Jerel Worthy recorded a career-high 1.5 sacks (8 yards).

-Michigan State held CMU to 66 yards rushing, marking back-to-back games the Spartans have allowed less than 100 rushing yards.
