-Before a crowd of 71,726, Michigan State defeated Northwestern, 24-14, in the 50th meeting between the two schools...MSU now leads the all-time series, 34-16, including an 18-6 record in games played in East Lansing.
-Blair White set career highs in receptions (12) and receiving yards (186) and also tied his career high with two touchdowns...the 12 receptions tie for fourth most in a game in Spartan history...the 186 receiving yards are the most ever by a Spartan receiver against Northwestern and also rank as the 10th most in MSU single-game history.
-Kirk Cousins recorded his third career 200-yard passing game, with 281 yards on 21-of-31 throws...he threw a career-long 47-yard TD pass to Blair White in the third quarter that made it 14-7 in favor of MSU...the 281 passing yards are the fourth most by Spartan quarterback against Northwestern and are the second most of Cousins' career.
-Michigan State recorded six tackles for loss (25 yards) and three sacks (15 sacks) against the Wildcats...in the last three games, the Spartan defense has compiled 13 sacks and 24 tackles for loss...the Spartan defense also held the Wildcats to 79 rushing yards, marking the fourth time this season MSU has held its opponent to under 100 yards rushing.
-Eric Gordon had a career-high 15 tackles, including 2.5 for losses (11 yards)...he also had a 6-yard sack...Gordon's previous high came against Northwestern last season (11).
-Greg Jones collected a career-high two sacks (9 yards) and finished with 14 tackles, two quarterback hurries and one pass break-up...Jones now has 85 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss and five sacks this season...Jones moved up to eighth all-time in MSU history with 31 career tackles for loss.

Rucker's forced fumble that was recovered by Adam Decker in the third quarter, MSU responded with a 7-play, 64-yard drive, capped by a 22-yard TD reception by Blair White, to tie the game at 7...on the first play of the fourth quarter after an MSU field goal, Ashton Henderson recovered a fumble on the kickoff, and Larry Caper ran for a 22-yard touchdown on the following play to extend MSU's lead to 24-14...Caper is tied with Blair White for the team lead in touchdowns with six...Caper rushed for 63 yards and tied his season high with 16 carries.
-Brett Swenson tied the school record for career field goals with 62 as he hit a 28-yarder as time expired in the third quarter.
