In the 39th meeting between Michigan State and Ohio State, the Buckeyes defeated the Spartans, 45-7, before a season-high crowd of 77,360 at Spartan Stadium...Ohio State has won the last seven meetings in the series and 12 of the last 14...the Buckeyes lead the overall series, 27-12.
Javon Ringer rushed for a season-low 67 yards on a season-low 16 attempts...through eight games, Ringer still is averaging 147.4 yards per game (1,179 total rushing yards this season)...he is just 60 yards shy of the 4,000-yard rushing mark for his career...Ringer finished with 86 all-purpose yards and now has 4,873 career all-purpose yards, which moves him into third place all-time at MSU.

Greg Jones led the Spartans with a season-high 13 tackles and had a career-high 2.5 tackles for loss (8 yards)...in two career games against the Buckeyes, Jones has 27 tackles...he recorded a career-high 14 tackles in 2007 at Ohio State.
Eric Gordon recorded a career-high three tackles for loss (11 yards), including a 7-yard sack in the second quarter.
Adam Decker had a career-high 10 tackles.
