• With the 16-13 overtime win, Michigan State has now defeated Wisconsin in three of the last four meetings and four of the last six . . . it marked MSU's first win in Madison since a 42-28 victory on Oct. 27, 2001 . . . Coach Dantonio is 4-3 in his tenure against the Badgers.

• Michigan State snapped Wisconsin's 21-game home winning streak, which was the second-longest active streak in the nation and also the second-longest in school history . . . it marked UW's first loss at home since Oct. 17, 2009 (Iowa) . . . it also marked the end of Wisconsin's 12-game Big Ten home-game winning streak.

• With 77 yards on 21 carries, junior Le'Veon Bell surpassed 1,000 rushing yards on the season . . . he now has a career-high 1,061 yards . . . he is the 13th Spartan running back to record a 1,000-yard rushing season . . . Bell's 5-yard touchdown catch to tie the game with 1:08 left in the 4th quarter was his first career TD reception.

• Michigan State out-rushed Wisconsin, 61-19 . . . MSU improves to 38-9 under Coach Dantonio when outrushing its opponent (22-2 since 2010) . . . Wisconsin's 19 yards rushing are the fewest by a Badger team since Sept. 23, 2006 (12 against Michigan).

• The Spartan defense had a season-high 12 tackles for loss (59 yards) and posted five sacks (had only six total in the first 8 games) . . . MSU has collected 21 tackles for loss (88 yards) the past two games against Wisconsin and Michigan.

• The MSU defense held UW to 190 yards of offense, the first time that UW has been held under 200 yards since Nov. 20, 2004 (186 - Iowa).

• Michigan State's defense has held five opponents to under 100 yards rushing this season (Boise State, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin), and four (Boise State, Eastern Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin) under 50 yards rushing.

• MSU's defense has allowed just 44 points in the second half/overtime this season (two touchdowns, 10 field goals).

• Michigan State is 8-3 in Big Ten road games since the 2010 season (2-1 in 2012).

• MSU improves to 6-5 all-time in OT games, having won four of their last five . . . the 13 points allowed are the fewest allowed by MSU in an OT game . . . Dantonio is 4-3 in overtime games at MSU.

William Gholston had a season-high 4.5 tackles for loss (10 yards) . . . the 4.5 tackles for loss rank eighth most by a Spartan in a single game . . . Gholston leads the team with 9.5 tackles for loss on the season (33 yards).

Max Bullough led the team with nine tackles, including a career-high 2.5 for losses (25 yards) . . . he also produced a career-high two sacks (14 yards) . . . he led the team in tackles for the fourth time this year, and has now totaled at least nine tackles in six straight games.

Andrew Maxwell recorded his fifth 200-yard passing game of the season by completing 24-of-39 throws for 216 yards . . . on MSU's last two possessions, Maxwell was 9-of-11 for 81 yards and two TDs . . . with MSU trailing 10-3 late in the fourth quarter, Maxwell led the Spartans on a 12-play, 75-yard touchdown drive in 4:58, capped by a 5-yard TD toss to Le'Veon Bell with just 1:08 remaining; Maxwell was 8-of-9 for 69 yards on that drive.

Tony Lippett tied his career-high with five catches for 49 yards.
