EAST LANSING, Mich. - Three former Michigan State players - Dallas offensive tackle Flozell Adams, Tennessee wide receiver Derrick Mason and San Francisco outside linebacker Julian Peterson - will participate in the 2004 NFL Pro Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 8 in Honolulu. ESPN will televise the 25th Pro Bowl, with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. EST in Aloha Stadium.

Fans, players and coaches selected the AFC and NFC all-stars as each group's collective vote counted one-third towards determining the conference rosters.

The 6-foot-7, 357-pound Adams earns his first Pro Bowl appearance. The six-year pro has started 85 consecutive games for the Cowboys, including 80 straight at left tackle.

Derrick Mason set career highs in receptions (95) and receiving yards (1,303) in 2003.


The 5-10, 180-pound Mason has posted three-straight 1,000-yard receiving seasons. The seven-year pro set career highs in receptions (95) and receiving yards (1,303) in 2003. He produced three 100-yard receiving games in 2003, including nine grabs for 137 yards vs. Buffalo (Dec. 14). Mason had a season-high 11 catches for 133 yards and a touchdown at the New York Jets (Dec. 1). He caught six passes for a season-best 177 yards and three scores vs. Houston (Oct. 12). It marks the second Pro Bowl appearance for Mason, who made the AFC roster as a return specialist in 2000.

Julian Peterson, a two-time Pro Bowl selection, produced a career-best 94 tackles in 2003.


The 6-3, 235-pound Peterson makes his second straight trip to Honolulu for the Pro Bowl. In 2003, he matched his career high with 94 tackles (69 solos, 25 assists), including seven sacks. Peterson also intercepted two passes and forced three fumbles. He produced a season-high 10 tackles at Green Bay (Nov. 23). Peterson recorded eight stops at St. Louis (Sept. 14), including two sacks.
