EAST LANSING, Mich. - The "Spring Edition" of "Spartan Football All-Access" debuts on FOX Sports Detroit Wednesday, May 1 at 7 p.m. EDT. The 60-minute "Spring Edition" covers the team from Signing Day through the offseason addition of two assistant coaches and a staff restructuring, key position battles during spring practice and the Green-White spring game.
In addition, the program includes in-depth interviews with former Spartan and current Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins, assistant head coach/defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi, co-offensive coordinators Dave Warner and Jim Bollman, and head coach Mark Dantonio. It also includes features on Michigan State's elite defensive unit, anchored by All-America candidate Max Bullough, and the emergence of red-shirt freshman Riley Bullough as a candidate for playing time at running back.
"Spartan Football All-Access: Spring Edition" replays Thursday, May 2 at 8 a.m.; Saturday, May 4 at 11:30 a.m.; Wednesday, May 8 at 4 p.m.; Saturday, May 11 at 4 p.m.; Sunday, May 19 at 3 p.m.; Saturday, June 1 at 10 a.m.; Saturday, June 8 at 10 a.m.; Saturday, June 22 at 6:30 p.m.; and Saturday, June 29 at 6 p.m.
Over the last two years, "Spartan Football All-Access" has earned six Michigan Association of Broadcasters' Broadcast Excellence Awards. In 2012, "Spartan Football All-Access" received "Best" in network TV awards for special interest programming (2012 Outback Bowl vs. Georgia recap) and sports (Episode 1 - MSU vs. Boise State recap). The show also earned "Merit" awards in network TV for special interest programming (Spring Edition) and sports (Episode 9 - MSU vs. Wisconsin recap). MSU Associate Athletics Director John Lewandowski serves as the executive producer for "Spartan Football All-Access" while David Diffenderffer and Ben Phlegar are producers. Associate producers are Nick Baker and Ryan McPhail.
