EAST LANSING, Mich. - Excitement for Big Ten football games starts long before Saturdays and "Friday Night Tailgate Presented By Nissan" lets viewers experience the passion and fervor as Big Ten campuses come alive.

The campus of Michigan State University in East Lansing, at the Sparty Statue, is the location for this week's show. Airing at 8:30 p.m. ET on Fridays, the irreverent, off-beat show visits a different Big Ten campus each week to capture the true essence of the collegiate atmosphere leading up to game day.

This week, host Mike Hall, contributor Charissa Thompson and on-location correspondents Jordan Klepper and Steve Waltien get a taste of the local campus flavor at Michigan State as the Spartans and their fans get ready for Saturday's game against Notre Dame.

The episode of "Friday Night Tailgate" is part of a year-long competition between Big Ten schools. At the conclusion of the football season, one Big Ten school with the best campus atmosphere will be crowned champion.
