WILMINGTON, N.C. - The sixth-ranked Michigan State women's golf team shot a 305 in the second round of the NCAA Fall Preview Saturday afternoon. The Spartans are now tied for 11th place overall with a team score of 606 (301-305).

Sophomore Shannon Warner led the Spartans in the second round, shooting three birdies to card a 1-over 73. Overall, Warner is in a tie for 58th with a 156 (+12).

Although Laura Kueny compiled a 79 on Saturday, she still leads the team overall with a 6-over 150. Kueny enters the final round in a tie for 38th place.

Freshman Caroline Powers registered the second-best round of the day for MSU, shooting a 75. With her 8-over 152, Powers is in a tie for 48th place.

Sophomore Lindsey Solberg shot a 78 and is at 153 (+9) after two rounds, while Aimee Neff produced a 79 and is at 157 (+13).

The elite 18-team tournament, which features 15 teams ranked in the Golfweek Top 25, is being held at the Pete Dye Course at the Country Club of Landfall, host of the 2010 NCAA Championships in May. The third and final round is set for Sunday; live scoring is available at www.golfstat.com.
