Men's Golf Signs One to National Letter of Intent
EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Carlos Foulquie (Madrid, Spain) has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Michigan State University next fall and play golf for the Spartans.
Foulquie, a former member of the Spanish Junior National Team, is currently enrolled at Lon Morris Junior College in Jacksonville, Texas, the same school which produced current Spartans Alberto Quevedo and Cory Lathern. A junior college All-American, Foulquie had a stroke average of 74.8 last year.
"Carlos is an excellent student as well as an athlete," assistant coach Russ Cunningham said of Foulquie, who will major in engineering at MSU. "With his experience and his talent, he will be playing right away and looking to help get us to the next level."
Foulquie joins Adam Walicki (Saline, Mich.), who also signed a National Letter of Intent with the Spartans in the early signing period.
