Men's Golf Advances Big Ten Match Play Championship Semifinals

The Spartans beat Penn State, 4-1 and Northwestern, 4-1 on Friday.

SOPHOMORE (2011-12): Appeared in one event ... Played as an individual at the Fossum Invitational, tying for 30th with a 227 (75-81-71).

FRESHMAN (2010-11): Appeared in 10 events ... Had a stroke average of 77.2 ... Playing as an individual in his collegiate debut, tied for ninth at the Fossum Invitational at 150 (75-75) ... Tied for 21st at the Rees Jones Intercollegiate with a 235 (82-72-81) ... Went 2-1 at the Big Ten Match Play Championship, posting wins against Penn State and Wisconsin ... Was the top Spartan at the Illini Spring Classic, tying for 18th at 149 (71-78); his first round 71 was a season low round ... Part of the MSU competitive lineup at the Big Ten Championship, tying for 53rd with a 320 (84-81-80-75).
