Men's Golf Seventh After 36 Holes at Hawkeye Invitational

Senior Dan Ellis is fifth individually at 1-under par 143.

JUNIOR (2011-12): Played in all 12 MSU events ... Posted a career-low 74.5 scoring average, good for fourth on the team ... Second on the team with six top-20 finishes, including a top-5 and two top-10 showings ... As an individual in the season-opening Fossum Invitational, placed 11th with a 220 (72-71-77) ... Had career lows for 18-hole (69) and 54-hole (212) at the Wolverine Invitational, tying for eighth ... Posted his best finish of the season at the Georgetown Intercollegiate, leading the team with a 217 (70-75-72) to tie for fifth ... Won both of his matches at the Big Ten Match Play Championship ... Led MSU at the Hawkeye Invitational, tying for 18th with a 218 (73-7372) ... Tied for 18th at the Big Ten Championship with a 300 (70-77-76-77).

SOPHOMORE (2010-11): Played in eight events ... Fourth on the team with a 76.60 scoring average ... Playing as an individual, tied for third at the Fossum Invitational with a 148 (76-72) ... Shot a season-best 54-hole score at the FAU Spring Break Championship with a 216 (73-72-71) to tie for 11th ... Part of the MSU lineup at the Big Ten Championship, tying for 43rd with a 311 (80-75-83-73).

FRESHMAN (2009-10): Competed in all seven spring tournaments ... Fourth on the team with a 75.38 scoring average ... Went 0-1-2 in the Big Ten Match Play Championship ... Best finish of the season came at the Fossum Invitational, finishing in a tie for fifth with a season-low 220 (72-75-73) ... Part of the MSU lineup at the Big Ten Championship, tying for 42nd with a 307 (78-74-82-73).
