Former Spartans Torey Krug and Duncan Keith will compete in the Stanley Cup Finals as the Boston Bruins and Chicago Blackhawks will meet in the first Original Six final since 1979. A rookie defenseman for the Bruins, Krug has produced four goals and two assists in nine playoff games, while Keith is in his eighth season as a defenseman with the Blackhawks and has colected 11 points in the playoffs.
The Big Ten office has announced the dates and opponents for the inaugural season of Big Ten men's ice hockey. The Big Ten Conference begins play in 2013-14, with each of the six schools playing a 20-game schedule, taking on each opponent at home as well as on the road.
