Prior to MSU: Selected by the Montreal Canadiens in the fifth round of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, the 142nd selection overall ... Joins the Spartans after two seasons with the Omaha Lancers (USHL) ... Captured a Clark Cup (playoff championship) in 2007-08 and an Anderson Cup title (regular-season title) in 2006-07 with Omaha ... Ranked fifth on the team in scoring (17-21-38) with 188 PIM in 58 games in his second season ...
