Twelve alums experience playoff hockey in ECHL, AHL
Opted to forego his final two seasons of collegiate eligibility and sign with the Ottawa Senators organization on March 10, 2011. Stayed with Ottawa's AHL affiliate in Binghamton the remainder of the season as the B-Sens claimed the Calder Cup.
2010-11 (Sophomore) Team's top scorer (33 points) and also led the squad in assists (25) Recorded a season-best seven point scoring streak over four games against Ohio State (11/12 & 13) and Notre Dame (11/19 & 20)... Scored a goal and notched an assist against Ohio State (11/12)... Recorded a season high three assists in a 4-0 victory over Ohio State (11/13).... Scored a second period tally at Notre Dame (11/19)... Assisted on Brett Perlini's game-winner and scored a third period goal at Minnesota in a 5-2 victory (11/26) ... Had two assists in each of the games at the Great Lakes Invitational (12/29-30), including on Dustin Gazley's third-period game-winner in the consolation game against Michigan Tech ... Had a pair of assists, both on Brett Perlini tallies, in a 4-0 shutout victory at Lake Superior (1/14), and had his first goal in 10 games in the 2-2 tie against the Lakers the next night ... Had an assist and was +2 in the Miami victory (1/22) ... Scored a shorthanded empty-net tally at Ohio State to seal a 2-0 victory (2/4) ... Put up three assists in the Northern Michgian series and was a +2 (2/11-12) ... Put up a career-best four-point game with two goals and two assists against Alaska (1/19), which included the game-winner ... Scored an insurance goal in a tight 2-0 victory over Bowling Green (2/26).
2009-10 (Freshman): Appeared in all 38 games ...Skated on the top line with Nick Sucharski and Corey Tropp ... Put together a 30-point campaign, good for Honorable Mention honors to the CCHA All-Rookie Team ... Third on the team in goals (12) and tied for fourth in assists (18) ... His 30 points ranked in a tie for third among freshmen in the Rick Comley regime. David Booth had 36 points in 2002-03 ... Seventeen (8g, 9a) came on the power play ... CCHA Rookie of the Month in October, as he was the nation's top rookie scorer (4-6-10) in the eight games ... Had multiple-point efforts in his first three collegiate games ... Started his college hockey career with a six-game point-scoring streak ... First collegiate point was an assist on Corey Tropp's goal, the first of the season for MSU ... Had a goal and an assist in each of the games in the Clarkson series (10/9-10) ... Added three assists in the Maine series (10/16-17) ... Scored a pair of goals in the split at Miami (10/23-24), both coming on the power play ... Held without a point for the first game in his MSU career in the first game against WMU, but assisted on the game-winner in the second game against the Broncos (10/30-31) ... Netted the game-winning goal in a 3-0 win over Nebraska-Omaha (11/5), then assisted on Nick Sucharski's game-tying tally the next night against the Mavericks (11/6) ... Scored MSU's only goal in a 1-1 tie with Notre Dame (11/19) ... Had a three-point effort with a hand in each goal scored (1g, 2a) in a loss to Wisconsin (11/27) ... Assisted on the lone goal in a hard-fought win at Northern Michigan (12/5) ... Had a pair of assists in the overtime victory at Bowling Green (12/11), recording the primary assist on both Corey Tropp's game-tying goal as well as Torey Krug's overtime game-winner ... Had an assist and was a +3 in the Great Lakes Invitational ... Potted the game-winning tally in a 4-2 victory over Lake Superior (1/8), and added an assist the next night against the Lakers ... Had a goal and an assist in a home tie against Notre Dame (1/16), assisting on a Nick Sucharski power-=play tally in the first period in addition to notching the game-tying goal with just over two minutes remaining in regulation ... Had a goal and a pair of assists in a 5-2 win over Ohio State, including an assist on Torey Krug's gsme-winner ... Scored MSU's lone goal in a loss at Ferris State (2/19) ... Had an assist and was a +1 with a season-best two blocked shots in a 5-2 win over Bowling Green (2/26) ... Scored MSU's lone goal in a loss to Michigan in the first of two CCHA quarterfinal-round games at Munn (3/12).
Prior to MSU: Played two seasons for the Langley Chiefs of the British Columbia League for former MSU skater Harvey Smyl ... Helped Langley to a two-year record of 63-46-2-9 ... In just 35 games his final season, scored 25 goals and 35 assists for 60 points, with 22 PIM ... Ranked 17th in the BCHL in scoring despite playing in half as many games as most league leaders ... Was 21st overall in goals and 29th in assists ... Had a 63-point season the year prior in 57 games (24g, 39a, 44 PIM) ... Member of 2008 Team Canada West which captured a silver medal in Camrose, Alberta ... Selected by the Ottawa Senators in the fourth round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, the 119th selection overall.
