2000-01: Scored 3-1--4 in 42 outings • Winner of MSU’s Dr. John Downs Award as team’s best defensive player • Three goals matched a career high he set as a sophomore • Key member of Spartans’ penalty-killing unit rated as nation’s best • Named to NCAA All-West Regional team after scoring MSU’s first goal in 5-1 quarterfinal win vs. Wisconsin (March 25) • Scored his first goal of the season in 5-1 MSU win at Notre Dame (Oct. 26) • Notched assist in Spartans’ 3-2 victory at Minnesota (Nov. 24) • Snapped a 14-game scoreless streak and 21-game goal drought with a marker vs. Michigan at Joe Louis Arena (Jan. 27) • Three of four points on the year came against top-15 opponents (Minnesota, Michigan and Wisconsin).

1999-2000: Notched 3-3-6 and a +9 rating while playing in all 42 games • Posted his first career goal vs. Minnesota (11/27) and added his second two games later vs. Notre Dame (12/5) • His third goal was the game-winner vs. Notre Dame (3/4) • Assisted on the game-winning goal against NMU (2/12) • Had five of his six points and all three goals at home.

1998-99: Skated in 39 of MSU’s 42 games as a freshman, with most of his time alongside Mike Weaver • Finished the year with 0-1--1, a +12 plus/minus rating and 20 penalties for 59 minutes • Earned MSU’s Most Improved Player Award • Set the MSU single-game record for penalty minutes with 29 against Northern Michigan (1/23 – two 10-minute misconducts, a major and two minors) • His assist came in the CCHA semifinals against Northern Michigan on Mike York’s first period goal (3/19) • Also posted an assist in MSU’s exhibition game against Western Ontario (10/13).

PRIOR TO MSU: Played for the U.S. Under-18 Team in Ann Arbor • Had 3-7--10 in 42 games for Team USA • Recorded two power-play goals • Prior to joining the U.S. Under-18 Team he skated for Little Caesars.
