Adam Nightingale is in his third season as Michigan State's video coordinator.

Nightingale played for Michigan State for two seasons (2003-05) after transferring from Lake Superior State. A native of Cheboygan, Mich., Nightingale served as an alternate captain during both seasons, appearing in 67 games with a 12-10-22 scoring line and 67 PIM. He went on to a three-year professional career, first with the Greenville Grrrowl (2005-06) then onto the Charlotte Checkers from 2006-08. In 78 pro games, he had a 10-17-27 line with 171 PIM.

During his hockey career, he played on the same teams as his brother, Jared, during both his years at Michigan State and during the 2007-08 in Charlotte. Jared Nightingale played the last two seasons for the Hartford Wolfpack (AHL).

Nightingale's duties include providing extensive video breakdown and scouting of both MSU and opponent video, as well as creating individualized video sessions for all the Spartan players.

Nightingale resides in East Lansing with his wife Kristin. The couple have two sons, Trevor and Keeton, and a daughter, Emmerson.
