EAST LANSING - Michigan State senior forward Greg Wolfe has been named the Big Ten Third Star of the Week, it was announced by the conference office on Tuesday. Wolfe had three goals and one assist in a pair ties against Ohio State last weekend.

Wolfe had a goal in an assist in Friday's 2-2 tie and followed up with a pair of power-play goals on Saturday. The two-goal game was his second of the season and fourth of his career.

The native of Canton, Mich., leads MSU in scoring with 11 goals and 10 assists. His 11 goals rank in a tie for fifth in the Big Ten.

The weekly conference award is the first of Wolfe's career. He is the first Spartan to be recognized by the league since Jan. 21 when Jake Hildebrand (First Star) and Lee Reimer (Third Star) were both honored.
