Saturday's game will feature a pair of promotions that benefit local charities that are near and dear to the hearts of the Michigan State hockey program. Fans were encouraged to bring a new stuffed animal to the game, and after MSU scores its first goal, fans should toss the stuffed animal on the ice. The stuffed animals will be collected and distributed to children's charities in the greater Lansing area, which will include the Sparrow pediatric ward and Brandon's Defense, which works to improve the quality of life for children with cancer and their families.
Continuing this season as well will be the post-game autograph sessions. At the conclusion of Saturday's game the MSU sophomore class will be on the northwest concourse in front of the concession stand to autograph that game's program poster.
Tickets to Saturday's game are still available at the Spartan Ticket office, which can be accessed 24 hours a day at www.MSUSpartans.com, or by calling 517-355-1610.
