EAST LANSING - The Michigan State hockey team will sponsor the annual Teddy Bear Toss this Saturday when the Spartans host Ferris State at 7 p.m. at Munn Ice Arena.
Fans were encouraged to bring a new stuffed animal to the game, and after MSU scores its first goal, fans should toss the stuffed animal on the ice. The stuffed animals will be collected and distributed to children's charities in the greater Lansing area, which will include the Sparrow pediatric ward and Brandon's Defense, which works to improve the quality of life for children with cancer and their families.
This Saturday's game is the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Game and will honor former head coach and MSU athletic director Ron Mason, who was inducted into the Hall just last week.
Tickets for Saturday's game are available here.
