MSU's Chris Slosar Tabbed as Big Ten Soccer Player of the Week
East Lansing, Mich. -- Michigan State junior forward Chris Slosar has been named the Big Ten Conference's Soccer Player of the Week following his effort this past weekend at the MSU/Quality Suites Soccer Classic.
Slosar, a native of Grand Blanc, Mich., helped the Spartans to the championship by scoring the game-winning goal and assisting on another in a 6-2 win over Canisius in the second day of the tourney while recording a pair of shots on goal against Duquesne in a 0-0 first-round decision.
The 5-foot-10, 160-pounder ranks as MSU's leading scorer after three games with two goals and one assist for five points.
