Chris Slosar Tabbed as Big Ten Soccer Player of the Week

EAST LANSING, Mich. -- For the second time this season, Michigan State junior forward Chris Slosar (Grand Blanc) has been named the Big Ten Conference Player of the Week.

Slosar, a 5-foot-10, 160-pounder, scored the tying and game-winning goals within a 1:07 span in the second half in helping the Spartans to an important 3-2 Big Ten win over Penn State on Sunday (Oct. 26). His second marker of the game came with just 1:27 remaining in the contest and helped the Green and White rally from a 2-1 deficit.

Slosar has started 14 of 15 MSU games this season and ranks first on the club in points with 15 on a club-high seven goals and one assist.

Slosar earned the same honor earlier this year following his play in Quality Suites/MSU Classic, Aug. 30-31.

Michigan State, 5-7-3 overall, 2-1-1 in the Big Ten will host Western Michigan on Wednesday, October 26, at Old College Field starting at 3:00 p.m.
