Stannard to Coach the Detroit City FC

Kylie Stannard, the assistant coach for the Michigan State men's soccer team, has been named the head coach for the Detroit City FC amateur team. Men's Soccer Wraps Spring Exhibition Season

The Michigan State University men's soccer team finished the second half of their 2012 spring exhibition campaign with a 2-1 record in the final three weeks. The Spartans dropped a 1-0 decision against the Michigan, but followed that result up with a road victory over Western Michigan, 1-0. MSU finished the campaign with a 3-2 victory over Butler, and the Spartans were 5-2 in spring exhibition games overall.

Soccer Improves With Quality Competition in Spring Contests

Continuing a very rigorous spring schedule, the Michigan State men's soccer team split a pair of spring exhibition games in the past week. These spring exhibitions have allowed the men's soccer staff to see their returning players settle into some new roles, as well as some key players return from fall injuries as the team gets in its first work in advance of the 2012 season.
