2013: Big Ten Distinguished Scholar... Netted his first goal of the season to give the Spartans a 1-0 lead in what would be a 2-2 draw at Creighton on Sept. 24....Assisted on Jay Chapman's game-winning goal against Northern Illinois on Sept. 28....Named National Player of the week by TopDrawerSoccer.com on Oct. 1 after stepping in at centerback for injured defender Kevin Cope...Scored a header off a cross from Kevin Cope to give the Spartans a 2-1 lead against Indiana on Nov. 1...Netted a goal off a penalty shot in the 60th minute to seal a 2-0 shutout over rival Michigan on Nov. 9...Scored the lone goal in MSU's 1-0 victory over Northwestern in the Big Ten tournament Semifinal game on Nov. 15...Appeared in all but one game for the Spartans...Named to the Big Ten All-Tournament Team on Nov. 17.
2012: Played and started 22 of 23 games, and compiled a 1-5-7 scoring line... Recorded his only goal of the season against Northwestern, a tough 2-1 loss to the Wildcats (9/20)... Third on the team with five assists... Four of his five assists came against Big Ten teams, including helpers in the semifinals and finals of the Tournament ...Three of his assists came on game-winning tallies: assisted on Luke Norman's game-winning goal against Western Michigan (9/21), Adam Montague's against Penn State in the Big Ten Tournament semifinals (11/9) and on Sean Conerty's overtime winner in the Big Ten Tournament title game (11/11) ... Also had an assist on Adam Montague's goal against Wisconsin (10/21) and the second of Jay Chapman's second goal against Indiana (10/28).
2011: Named to the Big Ten All-Freshman team by the Conference coaches ... Appeared in all 19 games for MSU in the midfield, and started the final 14 games of the season ... Played 80+ minutes in 12 of his 14 starts ... Scored the lone Spartan goal in a 1-1 tie at Marquette (9/16).
Prior to MSU: Named to the All-Area, All-Conference, All-District, and All-State teams both as a junior and as a senior...Led his high school team in scoring both his senior (9) and junior (10) seasons...Member of the District Championship team as a sophomore...Played on the U-17/18 Vardar Academy team, where they were the 2010 Development Academy National Champions...Earned varsity letters his sophomore, junior and senior years, and was a captain as a senior.
