2013: Improved his career total saves to 119, the fifth-best in MSU history...Finished with a .878 Sv.%, ranked third in NCAA, and a 0.70 GAA, good for 14th in the nation...Recorded 13 shutouts on the season to tie a program record...Earned his 13th shutout of the season en route to beating Georgetown in the Sweet Sixteen to advance in the NCAA Tournament (12/01)...Posted three-straight shutouts against Michigan on Nov. 9 (2-0), Ohio State in the Big Ten Tournament Quarterfinal on Nov. 13 (2-0) and Northwestern in the Big Ten Semifinal on Nov. 15 (1-0)...Stopped a career-high 10 shots on goal to record his eighth shutout of the year against Akron on Oct. 23...Recorded four saves against Oakland on Oct. 16 to pick up his seventh shutout...Earned his sixth shutout in eight games with a 2-0 victory over UIC on Oct. 1...Posted fifth shutout of the season in a 2-0 win over Northern Illinois on Sept. 28, to help MSU earn its first win over the Huskies in program history...Named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week for the two-straight weeks on Sept. 16 and 23 after posting back-to-back shutout wins over Marquette and Bowling Green...Held a league best 0.40 GAA through five games...Recorded a career-high eight saves against Bowling Green on Sept. 18...Recorded two straight shutouts to begin the year in a 4-0 season-opening win against Western Michigan on Sept. 1 and a 1-0 victory over Oregon State on Sept. 6.
2012: Finished with a .764 save percentage and 0.99 GAA for his freshman campaign ... Owned a 9-4 record in 13 starts during his freshman season ... Fourth in the Big Ten in GAA (0.99), third in save percentage (.764), and fifth in shutouts (3)... Only allowed multiple goals in a game once during the regular season (10/14 at Penn State), where the second score for the Nittany Lions was an MSU own goal ... Earned Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week honors on October 22 after shutting out Oakland (1-0) and Wisconsin (2-0) the previous week ... Named to Big Ten All Freshman Team... Season high of six saves in the Big Ten championship game ... Allowed 10 goals in his first 12 collegiate starts.
Prior to MSU: Enrolled at MSU in January after graduating a semester early from high school ... Will provide an immediate impact with the Spartan goalkeeping corps ... Joins the Michigan State program after lettering three years at Plano High School ... As a freshman, helped guide the Wildcats to a 5A State Championship as well as back to back Regional Finals as a sophomore and junior ... Listed No. 128th among the nation's top prospects ... Bennett earned All-District and All-Conference honors for his efforts as a junior ... Had a very impressive club career competing with the Solar Chelsea club out of Dallas, Texas. Bennett was a three year starter on both the under 16 and under 18 US Soccer Developmental Academy squads ... Member of the National Honor Society.
