EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State men's soccer program and 30th year head coach Joe Baum will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Spartan men's soccer this fall. The program will celebrate the weekend of Sept. 30 - Oct. 1 with several events aimed to reflect on MSU soccer's history and bring as many families as possible back to East Lansing.

On Saturday, Sept. 30, the festivities will include a tailgate prior to the MSU vs. Illinois football. The soccer alumni will be recognized on the field at halftime. After the game a cocktail hour will be held at the Kellogg Center East Patio, followed by a dinner reception. Dinner for alumni will be provided ($35 per guest or $12.50 for a child).

Sunday, Oct. 1, will begin with an Alumni game at Old College Field at 10 a.m. A 50th anniversary t-shirt will be provided to all alumni. At 11 a.m., the current MSU soccer team's parents will host a tailgate prior to the noon kickoff, where Michigan State will face perennial Big Ten power Indiana. Alumni will be recognized at halftime during the contest.
