EAST LANSING, Mich. -- - Due to inclement conditions and the expectation of rain throughout the day on Saturday, the men's soccer Green & White exhibition game has been cancelled. The game was initially to be played at 6 p.m. at DeMartin Stadium.

The Spartans have completed their first week of pre-season camp, and will have two more exhibition tilts before officially kicking off the season on Friday, Aug. 24 at home against Valparaiso. MSU will travel next weekend and play at IPFW (Friday) and will tangle with national power Duke on Sunday in a neutral-site contest at Trine University.

The Spartans return 14 letterwinners from the 2011 squad, and return All-Rookie Team selection Adam Montague to the lineup in addition to 2010 All-Big Ten performers Domenic Barone and Kevin Cope, who each missed the 2011 season with injury. While MSU is integrating 10 new faces to the lineup, there are four transfer students with collegiate experience in the incoming class, which was ranked No. 8 in the recent College Soccer News.com poll.
