EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State men's soccer team will host the MSU/Radisson Fall Classic this weekend at Old College Field. The Spartans will play Xavier on Sunday at noon and Loyola Marymount at noon on Monday. The University of Michigan will round out the four team field, playing Loyola Marymount Sunday at 2:30 p.m. and Xavier at 2:30 p.m on Monday.

Michigan State returns eight starters from the 2002 squad that posted a 12-7 overall record and advanced to the semifinals of the Big Ten Tournament. Jordan Gruber (Jr., Beverly Hills, Mich.) is the top returning scorer after tallying seven goals and 19 points last season to rank second on the squad in both categories. The Spartans will also feature second-team All-Big Ten honorees Nick DeGraw (Sr., Clinton Township) and Kevin Wittig (Sr., Newtown, Pa.) who return to bolster the Spartan defense. Senior goalkeeper Mike Robinson (Troy), who was the starting goalkeeper on the 2001 Spartan squad that advanced to the NCAA Tournament, also returns.
