EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Spartan men's soccer team will look to get back on the winning track this weekend with two home games at DeMartin Stadium. On Friday (Sept. 14), MSU will host Buffalo at 1:30 p.m. and will take on Kent State Sunday (Sept. 14) at 2:30 p.m. Both games were originally slated to be played at the University of Michigan as part of a four-team tournament, but were later moved to DeMartin Stadium.

MSU (1-3) is looking to rebound after two tough defeats to New Mexico and UC-Davis last weekend.

Notes

Conference Leader: Senior Doug DeMartin (Mason) scored three of the Spartans' four goals last weekend and is currently the Big Ten leader in points (11) and is tied for the lead in goals (five). DeMartin's two-goal performance vs. UC-Davis last weekend was his second two-goal game of the season and the sixth multi-goal game of his career.

Tough Competition: All three of the Spartans' losses this season have come against teams that were a part of last year's NCAA Tournament field. MSU has five more games this season against teams that competed in last year's tournament.

Freshman Contributions: Four true freshmen have seen action for the Spartans this season. Domenic Barone (Grand Rapids) is the only true freshman to have started games this season (vs. St. Francis and Vermont) and has recorded four shots. Cyrus Saydee (Lansing) picked up an assist in the season-opener vs. St. Francis.
